TL;DR
Campaigns let you send bulk emails—newsletters, flash sales, reminders—without a trigger. Draft the email on the same canvas you use for Journeys, pick your audience via Tags, then Send now or Schedule. Sending is limited to paid plans; free users can draft and preview.

🧐 What is a Campaign?

A Campaign is a single‑step workflow that delivers an email to all profiles or a tagged subset, either immediately or on a future date/time. It’s perfect for:

  • Monthly newsletters

  • Holiday promos / flash sales

  • Billing or policy updates

Unlike Journeys (which react to events), Campaigns are manual broadcasts—you decide when they go out.

Before You Start

Requirement

Why it matters

Paid subscription to schedule or send

Free‑tier workspaces can build drafts but must upgrade to actually send.

Tags applied to profiles

Campaigns use Tags for audience targeting (Segments coming soon).

ā„¹ļø Need help adding tags? See How to use Tags.

5‑Step Quick Start

  1. Open Campaigns from the left nav.

  2. Click New campaign → give it a descriptive name → Create.

  3. On the canvas:

    1. Audience node (pre‑selected)
      • Send to: choose All Profiles or search tags to include/exclude.
      • Review the Estimated recipients count.

    2. Email node
      • Enter Subject line, Sender name/email, and craft your content.
      • Preview for desktop & mobile.

  4. Click Schedule or send now in the top‑right.

    • Send now → ships immediately.

    • Schedule → pick date and time.

  5. Confirm → Send / Schedule campaign.

If you’re on the Free plan, the modal shows an Upgrade to schedule or send button.

Use the Search bar to filter by name and the column headers to sort. Pagination controls appear at the bottom right.

Paused Status (automatic)

Campaigns automatically switch to Paused when your workspace exceeds its monthly email quota. Draft campaigns remain Draft; only Scheduled campaigns are automatically paused. You cannot manually pause or resume a campaign—the status will revert to its original state once your quota renews or after you upgrade your plan. Learn more in Understanding Messaging Quotas.

Duplicating a Campaign

Click ā‹® next to any campaign in the table and choose Duplicate. The copy opens in Draft mode so you can:

  • Rename the campaign

  • Adjust the audience tags

  • Edit email content

  • Schedule or send

Editing a Scheduled Campaign

Need to tweak a scheduled send? First cancel the schedule:

  1. Click ā‹® → Cancel schedule (this reverts the campaign back to Draft).

  2. Make your changes on the canvas.

  3. Reschedule or send immediately.
